Operasyon Pag-asa: Haytek Dan

May 10, 2010
History will be made as the first Automated National Elections will be held in the Philippines.

Our Mission
Provide a program to harness, accommodate and encourage the help and participation of the youth who are the hope of the nation, in coordination with voluntary donors and sponsors, to be non-partisan watchers / coordinators that will independently monitor the polls and educate voters how  to vote, as well as to ensure the honesty and integrity of the votes while at the same time providing income opportunities for them and the participants as a whole.

Our Vision
That, through vigilance, combined efforts and participation, the automated elections will be clean, fair, honest and credible, entrusting the administration and management of the government to duly-elected leaders and public servants. Also, that through the program, a sustainable source of income will be created for our watchers / program participants emancipating them from the bondage of poverty, thus they will continue to be productive citizens and able future leaders of our country.

Welcome to
Operasyon Pag-Asa: Haytek Dan

Philippine map shown hereOperasyon Pag-asa: Haytek Dan is a task force project for good governance of the DCV Poverty Alleviation Program (or simply, The DCV Program) which was established to provide a means for people who wish to help less fortunate people overcome poverty by becoming donors. By donating, they are also entered in as participants which will give them an opportunity to earn more than what they have given. However, at Haytek Dan, we are giving a special opportunity to the youth with computer knowledge, specifically those who are 15, 16 and 17 years old, to enter the DCV Program without the need to donate any money so that they will participate and share their talents and services to ensure a clean, fair, honest and credible 2010 Automated National Elections. A simplified explanation of the process of the DCV Program is found in Our Program page.  For greater details on this, click here for the mechanics of the DCV Program.

With Haytek Dan, we will open the opportunity for our country's young people (ages 15-17 years old only) to enter the DCV Program's Preparatory Stage or Powerluwagan without requiring them to make a donation of money.

This coming May 10, 2010 will be a historic moment, as we will have the first Automated National Elections in the Philippines, finally leaving behind the old manual system of voting, counting and canvassing the votes. Instead of waiting for days (or even weeks), we will have the final election results (hopefully) within 48 hours. However, automation alone does not mean that the polls will be free from cheating and fraud. This is the reason why there are watchers at every voting precinct, to make sure that everything is kept clean and honest. But we still need necessary external back-up support for official watchers and voters. For this special purpose, we are launching Operasyon Pag-asa: Haytek Dan to bring in the youth - specifically those who are not yet of voting age but who are computer literate - to participate in the democratic election process as our non-partisan, independent and external watchers / coordinators. These volunteer watchers / coordinators will help educate voters,  monitor, watch and guard the election process in their areas and with the use of the Internet (either through computers, mobile phones, etc.), report to us via email (including photos, if possible) of their observations and results of the election. A number of these reports will be posted in our News page.

Through our sponsors, each participating watcher (subject for approval by the DCV Program Management) will be given cash benefit for monitoring the polls on election day, as well as funding his / her donation (shouldered by the sponsors) to the Powerluwagan / Preparatory Stage of the DCV Program. From that point on, aside from helping in the elections, he / she becomes a participant to the program and can make a decent living and sustainable income by inviting others to become donors to the Preparatory Stage of the DCV Program and later move on to the next stages.
